On November 8th, the U.S. Presidential election takes place. The plot seems to be ever developing and take twists and turns one could never expect! At this point the race promises to be a closer one than anyone thought. While the U.S. government has a lot of protective procedures to ensure a new president can’t “hijack” the country, it is expected that a Democrat victory will be calming to the markets and a Republican victory is likely to introduce a lot of uncertainty and market volatility. At the time of writing, FiveThirtyEight 2016 election forecast has the probability of a Clinton victory at 69.4%.
